So, it's been over a week since my last post. Our contractors finished up on Friday - yay!! The counters should be installed tomorrow or Wed - another yay!! And hopefully we can get Kev out ASAP to do the plumbing and we will be done! C is home with a sick A today so he did the final sand on the ceiling that he fixed (long story) and said that we can do touch-up paint tonight. I'm moving back into my kitchen!!! I can't freaking wait!
A came down sick on Thursday. She woke up from her nap with a high fever and that fever continued until Sat night/Sunday morning. It was up as high as 104 at times and it scared me. C took her to the doc on Thursday and then we took her to KidCare at the hospital on Saturday. Both docs said it's just a virus that has to run it's course. That's nice and all but I need my child to feel better. I felt so bad for her. She has never been this sick. She actually slept on me quite a bit and that is unheard of. The fever finally broke overnight on Sat night and was replaced with this lovely hacking cough. Poor baby barely slept last night (which means that mom and dad didn't either). So, C stayed home with her today and from what he tells me, she's been napping a ton so I hope she's kicking this thing right out of her body.
We are approaching vacation and I can't wait! We'll be packing up and heading to my parent's Cape house on July 3 after work and then from there down to Truro for the 4th. Yes, my parents own a house on the Cape yet they are renting elsewhere on the Cape for 2 weeks. Make sense? Only if you know my parents. LOL I also took off the following M-W and I don't know what we will do but I do know that I won't be at work. C took off from July 3-9 so we'll do some family stuff when we get home from the Cape. Or maybe we'll send A to daycare and do some mom and dad stuff! I'd love to go see some movies and we are paying for daycare anyway so might as well send her for at least 1 of those days. I also have my first OB appt on July 9 so that will be good.
I'm currently freaking out about airfares. I really, really, really want to go see my brother in San Fran in Sept. I hope we can make it happen. Stupid fuel prices.

Happy Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to my husband, my father, my grandfather, and everyone else that I know who is a father. Dads are the best. Dads are the unsung heroes in the parenting world. Everyone thinks that Moms are what keeps the world going round (and we are - hehe) but Dads do too. Most days I think that C does more for/with A than I do. And I don't know what I would do if he didn't! lol
Today is a perfect example. We stayed up late last night so we could finish painting the kitchen b/c I didn't want C to do it today on Father's Day. We didn't go to bed until after midnight. C was up around 5am and A and I followed around 6am. I was so exhausted that I could barely function. A *thought* she wanted to go back to bed at 7am so we all went. Yeah, not so much. By 8, C went and got her and told me to keep sleeping. I slept until 9 and felt like a new person with just that extra time. It's Father's Day, he didn't have to do that. I should've been the one to get up and get her so he could sleep esp b/c he is still feeling pretty crappy. But that is how he is. He's a great father and a great husband. Amelia and I love him very much.
Now it's 10:25am and they are both in bed sleeping and I'm wide awake. But C definitely needs the sleep as he's still not over this virus and it's still kicking his butt.
My Dad is a complex guy. But through it all, he has always been there for me. From the time where he came and rescued me from a flat tire in the pouring rain even though he just got me AAA (yeah, he was not happy about that one) to the time that I blew a tire on my brandnew used car in highschool on the first day I had it! Hmmm . . . I'm seeing a pattern with tires. Anyway, he might grumble a bit (or a lot) but he would move the world for me. I remember when I was applying to colleges and I got a decent scholarship to one of them. He came home that day with a rose for me b/c he was so proud. Or the time during my freshman year that I was sick and he went out and bought a get well card himself and mailed it to me. I could go on and on with these stories but what it comes down to is that I love my daddy.
Anyway, please just take today to tell your fathers how much they mean to you!

Dust, dust everywhere
This is by far the worst part of construction . . . drywall/joint compound dust. OMG it goes everywhere. I cannot wait until the final sand is done and I can do a massive cleaning. The dust sends me over the edge. C is doing the final light sand tomorrow so we can paint. This means that cabinets are going in on Monday. If we left the final sand for the contractor on Monday, he'd put up the cabinets before we paint and then we'd have to edge in around the cabinets. Um, I don't think so. So as much as C doesn't want to sand, it makes the most sense. I'm hoping it's a 1/2 hr job at the most and then we can paint!!!! At that point, I'm taking the ShopVac and going house on this place. Of course, I'll end up doing it twice b/c once we start moving things back into the kitchen, the dust is going to fly again. Oh well.
On another subject, I love my daughter. I really do. But some days I just can't deal. 5pm-6:30pm is her cranky time. She's tired and she can't wait for bed so C and I get the brunt of it. I feel like we spend the whole time just trying to keep her from crying and we don't get to enjoy her. There has not been a dinner this week that has not resulted in tears from her. I just don't know what to do. I feel like we don't even enjoy the limited time we get with her during the week b/c she's so tough that we are counting the minutes until bedtime. I'm struggling with this in a big way. I'm sure C is too. I hope it's a phase that she will grow out of or maybe it's associated with teeth and once she gets a break from those, she'll be better. We usually try to do a family walk after dinner and that helps keep her occupied but it was so hot this week and we both felt crappy so we didn't. I'm sure that coupled with her limited access of the house didn't help.
C and I's 3rd anniversary is June 24. Wow, 3 years already. 8 years together. Who would've thunk it??? It hasn't always been easy but we are constantly growing and our marriage is pretty strong. Sure there are times I want to kill him and vice-versa but we complement each other pretty well. So, the whole point to this is that C asked MIL to babysit next Saturday night so we can go out for our anniversary. I'm excited. I think we'll probably do a movie and a nice dinner and maybe b'fast on Sunday AM. We'll talk about it more this weekend. We are very lucky that A has grandparents that jump at the chance to take her!
Well, wish us luck with the painting!! And keep your fingers crossed that we have a kitchen next week!

It's been a while
Almost a week actually. Lots of things to report. First, I'M PREGNANT!!!!!! And if you know anyone in my family, don't tell them! lol
Second, the kitchen is under way. The subfloor is done, the ceiling is drywalled, and by the end of the day tomorrow, all the walls should be drywalled and the side door/storm door replaced. After that, I'm guessing we need to paint (once the mud is dry and any sanding done), and then the cabinets go in! We could be moving back into our kitchen as early as mid-next week if the granite guy gets out here as quick as he says he will! OMG I will be SO excited!!! What I'm really hoping is that these guys finish with a day or 2 to spare and want to immediately put the wall back up upstairs with their spare time. That would be sweet. It needs to be done so that can be Amelia's big girl room and the baby can have the nursery. I slowly feel the walls closing in around us! I think i'll be sharing the foyer with C again as that is the only place I can see his office going.
Here is a rundown of my weekend this past weekend (please try not the laugh at the horrendousness of it):
Friday:
I woke up sick. My throat was so sore that I couldn't swallow. Supposed to take A to meet Meme and my brother and J for b'fast. L and J are 1 hr late d/t traffic coming out of Logan. By the time they get there, A has had enough and is miserable and I don't even get to eat. Leave there and head down Rt 3 to the Cape. A screams the whole way down. At this point i needed Valium.
I spiked a fever off and on all afternoon and basically laid on the couch and let A do whatever she wanted as long as it's not dangerous. She got bored and pushed all my buttons. Barely make it to bedtime alive. Curled up on couch with 103 fever and stayed there all night.
Saturday:
The fever broke at some point overnight. I was a sweaty mess. Still can't swallow. A woke up at 5am or something horrendous like that. I closed the doors to the hallway and let her roam the upstairs while i laid in bed. This killed an hour. At this point, it was time to go downstairs for b'fast and try not to wake up Meme and Pops.
M & P took her to the beach and I showered. Thank Scooby. I sat on the couch and did nothing. They came home, she napped, I went to CVS to get Tylenol (I was already at my limit for Advil) and picked up a box of pg tests as it occurred to me that AF was due on Friday. Hmmmmm Took test #1. Positive w/i 1 minute. Holy crap!!!!!
Meme and I brought A to the fish market to get dinner and then the playground. Then we went home, did bath and bed and Mama got her lobstah. YUM!!!!! Took another test and positive again! Wow, this is really it!!! Oh and I still felt like carp and couldn't swallow but you can bet your ass that I ate that lobstah.
Sunday:
I woke up at 3am to this horrendous noise that I first thought was A. It wasn't. It was a pack of coyotes right under A's bedroom window and right outside my parent's bedroom window. They are howling, barking, and carrying on. I tried to find my pants in the dark and smashed my forehead on the door jam not once but twice. Yeah, I got an egg from that. At this point the whole house (minus A, thankfully) was up and trying to figure out where the coyotes are. I think they took off when Meme started yelling out the window to them. Totally freaky.
About mid-morning I decided that there is no way I can go to VA and leave C and A home sick and w/o a kitchen. (yes, C was sick with my illness at that point) So I canceled my trip. A and I took off for home after her morning nap and she screamed all the way home. I don't think that I should attempt long car rides right before lunch. She was just miserable. We got home and C and J are still working. Eventually they finished up, went and got Dairy Queen (yum), and J headed out. At that point, I asked C if he wanted to be a dad again b/c he's going to be! He was pretty excited. We showered and headed to Meme and Pops for dinner with L and J and her family. Except now Chris was really sick too. Poor thing was so tired and feeling so crappy that he fell asleep on my parents living room floor.
So that was my weekend. You probably could have cared less about the detail but oh well.
C is still feeling crappy and actually called in sick today and went to the doc who basically said, you are sick, ride it out. He doesn't have a visible infection so he just needs to treat the symptoms until it's out of his body. Oh did I mention that he also woke up on Monday AM with A's Pink Eye from last week? Poor guy can't catch a break. One thing that did concern me is that the doc thinks his thyroid is enlarged. He's having a physical in a few weeks so they are going to add that to his bloodwork. I hope it's nothing. I really hope it's nothing.
So, it looks like this blog will not be a WW blog anymore and more of a life blog until I'm back OP again. I'll try not to bore you :)

Slightly better
I am feeling a bit better today mentally but now i have a sore throat. Joy. I just need to keep reminding myself that every month I don't get pg is another month to lose weight. I need to move the focus. I can control my weight loss journey but I cannot control TTC.

Wednesday blahs
I'm so, so down in the dumps right now. I just don't know how to pull myself out. It's bad. I'm 99% sure I'm not pregnant again and my mental health just can't deal with this. Seriously, I'm wondering if I need to be in therapy while TTC. It just takes over my whole being. Is it worth it? A was worth it but we have our miracle. Is it worth it so she has a sibling? I just don't know anymore. I just can't keep doing this and no matter how hard I try, I can't relax about it and I can't put it out of my mind until AF shows up or doesn't.
I'm so far down in the dumps that I don't even care about being OP right now. I'm still w/i points, I think but I'm not even checking. I just don't care. I feel bloated and fat and like a member of the pork family. I know I'm going to gain this week just from the bloat so I'm probably going to skip WI b/c that will be be the thing that sends me over the edge.
I have so much to do and what am I doing? Sitting on the couch. Why? Because I just had a glass of Sangria and I'm afraid to drive and the majority of what is on the top of my list requires me to drive.
I need to get out of this and I don't know how. I need my happy pills but I went off them so we could try again. Let's see, I'm off my meds to TTC but TTCing is making me need them. What to do . . . .

Tuesday Update
I rocked OP yesterday. I even got all my f/v's and had a point to spare! Now I have a non-food but WW related dilemma. A and I are heading to the Cape on Friday while the kitchen gets demolished. So, I'll miss my normal Sat WI. Do I try and go to a Cape one that is 1/2 hr+ from the house or just skip this week? I'm afraid to skip this week and slack this weekend, especially b/c I'll be on the Cape with my parents and we tend to splurge. Decisions, decisions. I think I need to try and WI on Saturday so I hope my parents will watch A while I go but I could always take her with me for the ride.
Today was an equally good day so I'm happy about that. We didn't walk after work b/c C took A for an hour+ long walk in the heat today so he was beat. But I was good on the food front.
On a totally non-WW related subject, I just finished reading a story about a horrible, horrible thing that happened around here and it haunts me. 2 innocent girls died b/c of lack of DSS interference and the selfishness of their mother. The way they died just breaks my heart and I bawl when I think about it. I just don't understand why innocent people, particularly kids have to suffer. It's just not fair. I just want to scream and yell and I don't know what else.
I am so tired. This week just blows. We got up this morning to A with her eyes sealed shut. Thank you conjunctuvitis. So I stayed home this morning and C relieved me at lunch so I could go to work. Luckily they didn't make us do an office visit - they just called in some drops for her. So, thankfully now that she is on meds, she can go back to d/c tomorrow and C and I can actually work a full day. So, that little bump in the road compounded by the packing of the kitchen is just putting me over the edge. After A went to bed tonight, I made tomorrow nights dinner and then packed up a few more boxes. We are going to be short on boxes so I need to go get some rubbermaid totes tomorrow. We need to make huge progress tomorrow night b/c I don't want to be up until midnight Thursday night. Plus I need to have A and I packed and ready to go on Thursday night too b/c we will be out of here supa early on Friday AM before demolition starts.
As of last night/today, our fridge is in our living room. Our foyer/sewing room is full of cabinets. We have 2 8' high pantry cabinets in our living room. We have a 20yd dumpster in our driveway. Scooby give me strength. lol
On a good note, I get to see my little brother and J this weekend :) A and I are meeting them for b'fast on Friday and I've already been warned that J will be cranky b/c she is taking the red-eye on Thurs night. hehe. 5 min with A and she'll be fine. Then we are having a gathering on Sunday afternoon at my parents house with pizza. Yum, pizza. I will be able to stay at that gathering about an hour and a half at which point I need to head to the airport for a stupid business trip. My poor husband needs to deal with a rambunctious toddler without a kitchen for 2 days all by himself. Thankfully there is plenty of alcohol in the house.
Enough babbling from me. This is one of my non-WW posts, in case you couldn't tell.
